Considering purchasing ballasts to improve the size of the wake on my 1990 Maristar 210 for wakeboarding. For those of you that have them, where do you put them on the boat once full? I am looking at once big sac (540 lbs) and two smaller (about 85 lbs)

just make sure you have your weight 60/40... 60% in rear and 40% in front... other wise you're gonna have a crappy wake and burn a lot of gas... and most importantly... NEVER hold a constant speed... ps you'll want to go to a 4 blade prop if you're wakeboarding mostly... speed control is a BIA w/ an older hull loaded

Thank, have a 4 blade prop already. My questions was more directed at where on the boat do you place the ballasts? On the floor in the back, on the seat? Placement is my concern since we rarely have less then 4 people in the boat.

ahh... well when i was rocking the '94 225VRS i had a 440lbs bag on each side of the motor under the deck and another 600lbs in the walkway/bow... kind of made like a bow filler...

ballast bags and people are never a good combo but best case scenario is to take out everything of your boat that's not a necessity and make do...
