View Full Version : Yellowing and swirl marks On whitwe hull

Hey guys, i have a prostar 209 with white hull. We always wipe it down after every use and clean it regularly and never seem to have a problem. However after a weekend in one particular lake the hull is now very yellow (not consistantly yellow) -it has some swirl marks like some one had cleaned it or something before, and those are the areas where it is now yellow. I would appreciate any tips to get rid of the yellow as well as doing something to prevent this from happening again in the future.

To recap - those kind of gelcoat discolorations will generally respond well to an acid wash, and that's something that you can easily do yourself. There are several brands out there, such as Slimey Grimey, Mary Kate's On-Off, Zing, or Starbrite Hull Cleaner.
