What does MC use on their trailers the Boat Buddy I or II. More specifically for a 190 trailer. Mine finally gave up the ghost and needs replacement.

Anyone take one off to replace with a roller and want to unload the BB cheap?

Boat Buddy II and if you just need some parts/pieces, http://kodiaktrailer.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=1&osCsid=5eef2b6660e36e08707cb7d7cde13b9f

That'd be the BBII. If your guts are still okay and you just need the shroud, give Kodiak Trailers a call. Their product and the shroud only runs about $30.

Guts are toast.

Break out your wallet. I think their price for the whole unit is about the same as everywhere else.

All of MC trailers that came with a Boat Buddy came with the BBII. The only ways yours would not be a BBII is if the previous owner put the BBI on there.

If you only need the shroud I would definetly buy it from Kodiat trailers and save a few bucks. I don't think it is worth it to buy the guts for $72 based on what the price of a complete unit is. If you need an entire unit I would get it from Cabelas (http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/links/link.jsp?id=0001975011046a&type=product&cmCat=SEARCH_all&returnPage=search-results1.jsp&Ntk=Products&QueryText=boat+buddy&sort=all&_D%3AhasJS=+&N=0&Nty=1&hasJS=true&_DARGS=%2Fcabelas%2Fen%2Fcommon%2Fsearch%2Fsearch-box.jsp.form23&_dyncharset=ISO-8859-1) for $89 plus shipping.

Says something like "Standard equipment on MasterCraft boat trailers since 1989" on the box FWIW...

I just replaced mine tonight $(ching) and it was a simple swap to change the BBII. I am not sure if they are really heavy duty enough to drive on and click every time, since I seem to miss it dead on 50% of the time and end up bending parts, so it is a really nice bow pad with a drive on lock if I absolutely need it - for me anyways.

FYI, BBII states for boats over 21' in length and has a 5000Lb rating. Not sure about BBI.

Has something to do with the diameter of the bow eye as well.
