You know, that was my thought exactly. I had my boat broken into last year, and had the same exact thought....looks like way more stuff than we had though.

CONVIENENT HOW ALL THE WIRES ARE CUT AT ABOUT 6-8 INCHES... I'D LIKE TO SEE THE RECIEPT HE CLAIMS THAT HE HAS...
ALSO... THE RONIX BOARD THAT IS "USED TWICE" IT LOOKS LIKE ITS HIT A FEW MORE THAN 2 SLIDERS IN IT LIFE...
SOMEONE IN THAT AREA SHOULD CONTACT HIM AND FIND OUT WHY HE IS SELLING THE ENTIRE STEREO OUT OF HIS BOAT FOR THAT LOW OF A PRICE...
I SEEM TO BE THINKING THE SAME AS EVERYONE ELSE THOUGH...
sorry for the caps, one of the programs i use at work uses em... im to lazy to retype... :D

I love the fact that he cut the wires instead of simply just unplugging them from the speakers and lights. The poor guy not only has to replace his tower accessories but have the tower rewired as well.

Take away the speakers, amps, lights, boards, suits, and ropes from the X-45 he took it from and it becomes an X-40. :D

To be honest, I have a slightly different angle on this. My guess is that guy had his boat repo'ed. All the boats that come into the local repo place have been stripped of anything of any worth. The guy probably stripped the stuff and is now trying to recoup some money from the deal, all while further making the credit/debt/mortgage crisis even more difficult.

Probably the correct way to look at it considering he is selling the prop also that looks used.

I'd believe that if he quoted accurate prices for the speakers. Anyone who pays for those speakers know what they cost, or maybe more accurately would know that you don't buy speakers by the "piece."
There is a bunch of things that look wrong in that post.

Sodar makes a good point, but after a year wouldn't that prop be a little less shiny?

True, but if it was repo'd because he couldn't make payments, maybe he didn't use it as he couldn't afford the gas. Who knows....

Maybe he was trying to get his prop as shiny as Harold's, when all the sudden a big wind came in and blew the speakers off. Who knows!?!? :D

With a convenient pair of wire cutters.......me thinks your original point was correct. Just like those stripped foreclosure homes you see.....
