I want to adjust the timing om my Prostar 190. It has a Ford 351 Indmar. Year of the boat is 1989. What is the specs, And where is plug no 1. Also, can i do it with only a timing light and no dwell/tach meter?

6 to 10 degrees BTDC and #1 is the forward plug on starboard side of the engine. Timing light will do fine as a start.

If you have points, you should make sure the gap and dwell are correct, too.
