Got home in time to see the final 3 outs. Do you think his nerves were tight? Gotta love that 45 foot slider he threw on the next to last pitch. No matter....... he got the nono.

I wonder how it felt to do it in Milwaukee.

If I still lived in the Region, I would have gone. It takes me a little over 3 hours just to get to Chicago now.

the game was actually in Milwaukee.

They made more tickets available this morning.

Why didn't they play in Chicago?

Had to be on nuetral territory, it couldn't be a home game for the cubs.

I know....... I was just saying if I still lived over there it would only take me a couple of hours where as now it would take an extra 3 hours.

"Had to be on nuetral territory, it couldn't be a home game for the cubs."

Was it a make-up for a rain-out?

They were supposed to play in Houston, but it was canceled.

So who's gonna win the wildcard? The Brewers look like they don't want it anymore.....

Yost knows the game really well and so does Sveum but I thought they would have gone with Simmons when I saw the headline. Yost seems a bit too lessaize-faire when they had problems and really didn;t strike me as a great motivator. They have had really bad slumps every year he was here and they always seemed to go on for just long enough to keep them out of the playoffs.

Ted Lilly took a nohitter into the 7th and it was lost on a single but the Cubs still won 6-1.

Sabathia booted the ball and the freakin' scorer called it a hit, probably because it was a home game for the other team and he didn't want to give an opposing pitcher a no-hitter on their home field.

Holy cow! Holy cow! I sat down last night to watch the rescheduled game on GN and it wasn't on. I was really disappointed as always, but it made it ten times as bad that Z pitched a no no. I mean does God just hate Cubs fans in TX?

I am so excited for the post season that I have been bouncing in my seat whenever someone talks Cubbies with me.

This is the year!! THIS IS THE YEAR!!!! Now I just have to convince the wife that we have to fly up for a playoff game this year!!!

Brewers beat the Cubs 6-1 with 7 relievers after Sheets left the game with tightness in his forearm.
