I'm needing the black lift support thing that holds up the glove box when open....for 2001 PS 209. Any ideas on where......I've tried all the auto parts stores. Might have to go through a dealer unless someone else has any ideas. Thanks in advance.

They are pretty inexpensive.....check your local dealer.

What is an approximate cost, as I am in need of one for my 02' 209. Thanks!

Park, I'll let you know tomorrow.......I'm calling the dealer to get one. The ones at the auto parts were around 15 bucks, so it'll either be that or about double!!!!

Thanks, Gamble. I hope it's not too costly.

My old 205 didn't have one and didn't need one. Somehow, the hinges were tight enough for it to stay open. My new boat had one that needed replacing. Went with a 40 lb shock instead of the 20 lb stocker and have been really happy to have something that will pop the lid and keep it up (heavy lid). Napa has always been able to match whatever I've brought them.

Do you have a Napa in your area?

Does anyone have the MC part number for this? Thanks.

just call your dealer and tell him you need the lift support for the year model of your boat. That's what I did and he went right to it. If I get mine today I'll reply with the part number on it.
