Hi, after doing a rewire job on my 94 prostar 190 the engine temp sensor does not seem to be working. i have grounded the wire to the guage which makes the gauge work. does the sensor only have the one wire to the gauge?
Also i have got an engine temp warning light wire that im not sure where it goes. Does this also attach to the same sensor?

Also my boat starts really well from cold but after a little while if i turn the engine off it struggles to start again. It turns over really slow then will all of a sudden speed up and the boat will run again.
Changed battery and its still the same.
Is it likely to be starter or alternator? I have tested battery when engine running and it reads 13.5 volts
with engine of it reads 12.5 volts and does not drop.

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Thanks
