93 PS 190, 890 hrs..runs awesome but...after running for awhile and then sitting, it starts hard and the drive shaft feels like's it's going to fall off when putting into gear, then it stalls. When starting cold in the a.m. it runs like a champ. Any advice? Thanks.

which engine and carb? for the hard to start after running, this sounds similar to problem I had with 4010 carb leaking fuel into the intake after shut off. this floods the engine and makes it hard to start. Luckily all i had to do is adjust the float level. some people have had to do rebuild. the 4010 carb is apparently a problem child to some and the 4160 is more reliable. th e4010 has two fuel inlets on the side, the 4160 has one inlet on the front. can not help on drive shaft.

My 93 used to do that. Switched from the 4010 to the 4160 and it ran like a top every time out from that day until the day I sold it.
