Guys, I'm looking at a PS 209.....it has the 2 pitot tubes on the back a depthfinder in dash, but I don't see a transucer outside.......is it most likely a thru hull transducer mounted in the bottom of the hull?

I have been shopping these, and seaching here. Most say the thru hulls work well on these boats, mounted somewhere close to the driveshaft.

good luck. Post some pics when you buy it.

The transducer probably is a shoot thru the hull and mounted in the bilge and not mounted on the transom like a bass boat. Check out this thread, the pics in it will show you where to look, http://www.mastercraft.com/teamtalk/showthread.php?t=25678&highlight=transducer

Mine is through hull. I can't remember where it is located but I do remember running across it while cleaning the bilge a while ago. BTW, it works flawlessly.

We're gonna have the dealer install a depth finder and cleats this winter, then we can venture out into unfamiliar waters. :) I'm glad that you say it works good.
