Ground for Amp on 1993 PS 190

I am having a difficult time grounding my amp on my PS 190 closed bow. I have the Amp installed under the bow -- but the only ground I can get is when I bring it back to the battery ground. The problem is I am getting some bad engine noise through my sub.

Any suggestions??

be sure that the signal wires aren't running next to the power & ground wires. That is all I can tell you for sure. I think you are right to ground to the battery for optimum amplifier performance. Be damn sure you have a fuse close to the battery on the positive line when making a direct battery hookup.
