The question of the day is:

Will a 2001 Mastercraft 209 fit on my trailer for my 2001 190?

Afriend has a 209 they bought without a trailer and they would like to move it. My 190 has been in a lift since I bought it and my trailer has never been used. Guess next time I should not buy a trailer.

How far do they need to move it? Ultimately, I'd call MC and ask them. But first, I'd go to mastercraft.com and look at the specs for the two boats. Does the length with trailer increase by the same amount? How different is the "width amidship" between the two boats? The 209 is about a foot longer than the 197, so if it's a longer ride than down the street, I'd wager that that 209 is going to hang off the back by about a foot.

I believe there is a problem with width as Doug mentioned. Since the 209 is 96" wide, I think I heard that they had to raise the bunks on the 209 trailer so the hull won't hit the fenders?
Also I remember hearing that the 209 is based on the maristar hull, so the bunk shapes may be different?

We've moved a '96 205 on a '94 190 trailer without any problem. The boat is a bit longer so it sticks out past the bunks about a foot but if your just taking it a few miles to be worked on or something, it shouldn't be a problem. Just pull it on very slow, checking for width issues like the other guys mentioned.

call a dealer..... If it can possibly be done, you know they've done it.

The 209 hull is not like the 205 hull in any dimension.

No, but it is like the 190 hull in the width in particular. That was the point.

Robert,

What did you find out? Did it work?
