I HAVE SOME 205/75/14'S ON THE TRAILER NOW. IF YOU LOOK AT THE PIC, THERES PLENTY OF ROOM BETWEEN THE FENDER WELL AND THE TIRES NOW WITH THE BOAT ON THE TRAILER. DO YOU THINK I HAVE ANOUGH ROOM FOR A 205/75/15 RIM AND TIRE? ITS ONLY ADDING AN INCH OF HEIGHT AND IT LOOKS LIKE I HAVE ENOUGH ROOM.

WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK? IM GETTING READY TO OVERHAUL MY TRAILER
THANKS
JAY

Yes, there appears to be plenty room. As a result of the 1" diameter increase, you will only lose 1/2" of clearance, but as a added feature your trailer will be 1/2" higher off the ground and that means your propguard will be approx. 1/2" higher off the ground, making for extra clearance there and possibly less scraping at times. That is if the tires are properly inflated like the old tires, but if not, a loss or less tire pressure will lower the trailer, so your back to where your are before you switched.

I figured this thread had already answered your questions, http://www.mastercraft.com/teamtalk/showthread.php?t=25642

I Had Just About Decided To Stay With The 14's Until I Found This Picture Showing The Clearance.

Thanks Tmc1!

I know alot of guys dont like them but the 17", inch wheels are growing on me. I think those new wheels on the PWT, and the 40th boats look good. Generally you have less sidewall on the tire so diameter should be ok.

You will notice too, that the 40th and PWT bling wheels and tires are on tandom trailers only and are not trailer tires, but auto type tires. The load carrying capacity of those type tires is not enough to carry the weight of a boat on a single axle trailer and are enough below a conventional 14"/15' auto wheel tire combo and ST tire that it can be dangerous, but the combination of the four on a tandom will exceed the the boat, trailer, gear fuel combined to be acceptable for use.

I would agree with that on a single axle. Plus it is hard to beat a good heavy duty trailer type tire.

I Got The Same Ones I Had On My 89...except I Went With The 15" Trailer Specific WHEELS AND Tires Instead Of The 14's - Same Rims

Ill Post Up Some Pics Of The 1991 Boat Later Tonight When I Get Home
