So i have snap in carpets on my 2008 X-15 which is about 3 1/2 months old, and while i was unsnapping the carpet to unplug my drain plug one of the snaps pulled off the carpet. Doesnt look like the snap can be re-rivitted(sp?) Is there a kit or replacement snaps that can be added on to replace the broken one?? Also is there a tool to rivit the snap back to the carpet?? Any help or thoughts are greatly appreciated.

A trim shop can take care of that, and would charge less than the price of the tools nedded.
Good luck

Well i was thinking that but the boat is 3 months old, i figure i will need to replace more in the future so i figured i would get the tool, can be more than a 20 dollar rivet gun and a couple of snaps. Any idea where to get one, seem slike it would be a common problem

hasn't happened to me yet. My boat is over a year old. I have taken the carpets out or unsnapped them to do something probably 25 times.

I have one popped off too. First time I removed the carpet , put a very small amout of clear silicone on each snap and it will help keep them from getting stuck and pulling out.

I have done the same and the snap just ripped off. I live on brackish water and dont clean the carpets much as i should.

normally it wouldnt bother me that much but its the corner snap in the front next to the driver seat. So i assume it will flap in the wind which is not ok.

My PS 209 is 5+ years old and I have never had a snap pop off. If it is only 3 months old, get the dealer involved. They can fix it!

Wouldn't this be covered under warranty?

Yup. Wait till winter and then take it back to the dealer off-season...

I have a kit I bought several years ago that has every kind of snap, grommet, that uses chrome plated brass pieces and it utilizes an pair of Vise Grips that have different heads that goes on the Vise Grips jaws for bradding the pieces together. Rivets or pop rivets are not used anywhere in the snaps. I got the kit from a tool store like Northern Toll, Harbor Freight or maybe even Tractor Supply, just can't remember. I've used it several times for adding grommets and repairing all kinds of snaps.
