I know we all hate the jet skis while we're on the boat, but does anyone have a jet ski or two? just picked up an '85 stand up Kawasaki for $120 and got it running. Greatg fun. (trying not to become the hated jet skiier thought)

Yup...got two. A 88 Kawasaki 650 stand-up and a 99 Polaris 3 seater. We only use them when the tubers have come out of their comas in the afternoon.
The 3 seater is for the family and the stand-up is mostly for me. I've had several "athletic" people try the stand-up and they are fun to watch! Great toy when used properly.

I have a 1994 Kawasaki 750 stand up along with a pair of XL 1200 Yamaha Waverunners. I live on a small private lake and hardly anyone uses the lake except for me so I don't feel guilty when I am out riding. I actually rode my stand up Sunday afternoon. Great exercise and great fun!

I have an 06 Sea Doo GTX. Great fun but I think it should be a law that you should have to own a boat first...

Have a couple of 07 Yahama's and they are big fun. I agree owning a boat first should be a rule.

A 95 seadoo HX and a Yamaha Waveblaster 1. Both done up with lots of mods for hiting the big lake when it's too windy to ski!

07 Sea Doo 1500cc and it hauls a$$. Had it at Powell this weekend and my 10y/o was watching the spedo for me and got it up to 57mph. That thing is solid on the water. I ain't scared and will crank the steering at full speed. It spins, but won't tip (at least when you are solo). I have a 95 Kawasaki 750 also and it will throw you off, but not nearly as fast but still fun. I pull skiers and tubes with the 1500. Saves a bunch of gas when you leave the 30' twin engine boat on the shore at Powell. Not a real solid pull but I don't ski bouys at Powell anyway. Just good fun.

I want to get decals in the shape of PWCs that I can slap on the sides of my boat, like fighter planes when they shoot other planes down! I almost had three kills this weekend! I'm sure it's different coming from those of you on this site, that are experienced drivers, and actually care about the shape of the water when you see someone going for a slalom or wakeboard run. You know, as opposed to the person who is clearly not looking at you, but cutting right in front of you, when you are heading at them at 36 mph with skier in tow, then proceeds to do spins in what was formerly the calmest spot on the lake. HMMM, like I said, almost three kills. :D
I'll give some credit to the stand up riders though. You get tired as hell riding those! I really don't see too many of them anymore. I think our lake could just about be sponsored by Sea-Doo though.

Yes!-finally somebody with a good idea. Most have never even swam in a lake:rolleyes:
I just picked up a 1996 GTX Sea Doo for me and the lady. Its only got 30 hours on it, but needs lots of cleaning and waxing. It came to the right place for that:D Been working on it today, and it should make a great addition.

Sea Doo 98GTXltd/600hours, 03RXdi pushing400hours and a 08RXPX40 hours
LOL! I knew there were a few closet PWC owners here :)
I can only speak for the lake I ride on but for every moron on a PWC, I can point out a boat owner just as bad... Our home lake is REALLY bad.

Owned a Kawasaki ultra150 which was one dam fast ski. Just shame it was only a 2 seater as it was pretty unstable in rough water. But boy did she fly on flat water. Bye Bye GTI :)Never did have anyone overtake me on that thing. Cant wait to get me self the Yamaha FX SHO next. But for now we have the X30 so cant complain.
