Ride the Wake for Kids' Sake

For the last ten years a group of us in central IL have been skiing and taking donations for the Children's Hospital of Illinois. We have followed various formats throughout the years, but this year we will ski the Illinois River from Grafton IL to Chillicothe (about 175 miles) in one day!

We have raised nearly $100,000 for the hospital over the years, and during a tour of the hospital last year we were reminded that the money is well spent.

This year's event will take place this Friday, August 8th. If any Team Talkers are interested in donating this year, PM me and I will get you an address.

Any dealers out there, especially in IL, we do also put out a t-shirt, and it has sponsors on the back. Too late for this year, but if someone is interested, we can work on next year!!

As a Cub Fan I do have my moments, but I am an ILLINI Fan too so we do have something in comman and things are lookin better and better with football this year. I hope everything works out for them. Goodluck again and I hope you guys make alot of money!!!

The event went well. I skied 135 miles that day. We had a few guys go the whole way, 175 miles!!

The high res version will be hanging on my wall soon!! We did pretty good on donations. I will post the total when we get it. Sorry to say, no MC's in the pic...no one wants to pack 6 people into the old '84 MC. We take the v-drives that are available - very roomy.
