I HAVE 4 SPACES FOR 6x9 SPEAKERS...I WAS LOOKING AT THE POLK MMC690'S...HAS ANYONE ELSE USED THESE? DO YOU GUYS HAVE ANY OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS ON BRANDS?

i don't think anybody here can say much bad about the polk momo's. i had the coaxial 6.5 mmc650's on my last boat and they were great. no issues during 3 seasons with them. loud and clear with about 45-50W rms to each of them. you could certainly give them a little more than that, but my amp wasn't all that large.

I put the polk's in and I have been very pleased. They are waterproof which is nice too.

The Polks Are On The Way....along With A Sony Giga-panel Receiver. That Receiver Holds A Gig Of Music In The Faceplate. I Didnt Want An Ipod Ready Unit. This Eliminates Having The Find A Place To Put The Ipod. Pretty Cool, I Just Drag And Drop Mp3's Onto The Faceplate Of The Stereo With A Usb Cord Hooked To My Home Computer
