And I Really LikeD The Way My 89 Sounded...the New One Is Too Quiet. Has Anyone Taken The Big Silent Master Muffler That Is Right Behind The Engine On A 91 Off?

Was It A Big Job And Waht All Did It Involve? Is It Something Fairly Easy To Do?

2 new inline mufflers, like these, http://www.skidim.com/prodinfo.asp?number=NPNMS-030-1000 , 4 more hose clamps, 4 hangers, 4 stainless screws for the hangers and you'll have plenty rubber hose left over.

You can straight pipe it too, PM Oddessy he did this to his and gave me detailed instructions when my SM muff leaked. hose and all it looked to be about 115.00.

FYI, I opted to re-glass the muffler to keep the noise down.

Our 03 35th Ann. S&S had straight exhaust and was too loud for the wife and neighbors (ha). So we had the silent master mufflers installed. I watched the service dept. do about half the work. They disconnected at the elbows (which I still have), had to lift up the gas tank to get the the clamps underneath (a pain), they couldn't get the end rear of the straight exhaust hose off so they had to slice that end (or I'd have extra hose too), put it all apart then reassemble.
I was told I'd lose a little performance which would imply you'd gain a little. I can't tell the difference, but I'd only had the boat about 1 month. Pictures are the before and after. Good luck, I hope this helps. [email protected] or 770 634 5437
