Got rid of the pylon and hooked the boat up with a tower and tried it out today, worked great.

Thanks, there's where my problem is  not even close. My neighbor just had a guy come to his house and made a matching bimini to the one he had on his deck boat with a zipper to connect them and cover the whole boat so I'm hoping he can modify mine and make it work :D If not I'll be looking

My bimini frame (Johnson) splices in the middle. Maybe you could just cut your tubes to make it fit between the arms of the tower?

That's my plan and mine's a johnson too :D I didn't even check before I folded it and put it in the garage but if it doesn't leave my arms exposed from the elbows down  I might be able to pull it back and put new mounting hrdwr. and do nothing  I don't know why I didn't try that first

The new tower looks great.:D Much more useful and functional than the extended pylon! I was able to retrofit my old bimini and attach it to my tower using the procedure in this thread: http://www.mastercraft.com/teamtalk/showthread.php?t=13618&highlight=retrofitting+Bimini
Used it for the first time a couple weeks ago and it worked great.
PM me if you have any questions and I can walk you through it.

Thanks guys :D That's what I'm gonna try to do is modify it. I'm not ready to buy a new one when this one was expensive and in perfect condition.
