04 x9 oil buzzer

Still getting familier with my new to me boat. I have an 04 x9 with an MCX with 130 hrs. When I bought it I changed the oil and filter and boat has been issue free. Sunday we were surfing ( 10 MPH ) and a warning buzzer came on along with the word OIL in the dig display. I shut the boat down before I looked and the pressure guage ( stupid) But I fired it up a few minuites later and it was ok, pressure 40 and up temp 160 and had no issues getting back to the dock. Should I be worried? There is plenty of oil in the motor. The other issue was 2 days before the heater hose on the side of the block came loose and flooded the bilge, if the oil sending unit got wet would that cause an issue? Thx in advance for your input.

You could open the motor cover, remove the plug from the sensor and lat it air dry or blow air over it with a fan to test your theory. Make sure the sender you look for gas more than one tan wire attached to it.

My 03 x9 has had the buzzer go off @ idle. i talked to my dealer and he said the MCX is notorious for low oil pressure. I replaced my sending unit and now the pressure stays up @ idle.

Where is the teh sensor?
KelBCx9 did you replace with the stock sending unit?
