If anyone has any information about the 1994 wetjet duo 200 PLEASE help me out!!!

I recently bought a 94 wetjet duo 200 for a great price...Was told that the engine rolled over BUT they couldn't get it started. The guy I bought it from said he took it to a mastercraft dealer and they said it needed a cdi box. I contacted a place in Florida who told me they had one....The one they sent me (the shipping order says atleast) is for a 1989 Yamaha wetjet. Will this cdi box work for my jet ski? I was also told today that the lanyard had a type of chip and it's missing.....Is this true?

Anyone who has one of these jet ski's or knows anything about them PLEASE message me and let me know....
