View Full Version : Perfect Pass question
I'm running a 1.5:1 powerslot boat on my home course and the speed reading on the RH side of the display is inaccurate based on the timer???? I'm used to watching rpm's of a 1:1 boat, so I don't know what rpm to look for on the pslot. I started watching the mph on the right of the display and it reads approximately 2mph slower than the speed I'm set to run.
fwiw, I have not recalibrated the pp since moving it to my home course but it is fairly accurate based on the timer readings and a gps check.
Could it be that the paddlewheel is bad or do I need to calibrate before I wonder any longer?

I think you need to recalibrate. I say "think" because we're running different versions. Run your baselines on your home course and it should ask you to calibrate your speedo. I mistakenly ran my boat in slalom mode outside of the course and my paddlewheel speedo stopped reading accurately.

Ric, where's the home course? Where were you running it before? Just need to know where to park my car when I show up ready to ski at an undetermined time/place. ;)
thanks, I did run slalom mode in open water 2 weekends ago , so I bet that may be the culprit

It could have also been wind issues. When on open water, I run in RPM mode. I don't care for speed mode with free skiing (even though the manual suggests that it would be preferable). It tends to lurch when I start to pull.

Likewise on the skiing comments. Are you talking about Lakes at Cypress Hills? Where's Banana Bend?

There is a separate speedo calibration from the rpm calibration. After getting a good time in the course you can recalibrate just the speedo. Who's the new boat? Let me know if you want a two up our way.

Thanks George, Darryl gave me a team boat to use as I wait for my new one. A guy named mccormick at lakes of cypress hill had it before me.
