Trying to determine if light is correct, I put in a new impeller and changed 1 of the thermostats, the one above the water pump impeller,
and will check the other tomorrow. The engine temp guage is reading about 130 but I am getting the engine temp light on. How do I know if it is a bad light or the real thing?

Check the wiring to the sending unit / light, it's probably grounded some where...just a thought:rolleyes:

The lower thermostat has to have three small holes in it, if it's the right one and that one is the 143 degree unit. If the holes aren't in it, it will overheat.

If the water circulating pump has been changed with a regular car pump, it's the wrong one. The LT-1 has "reverse cooling", which goes to the heads first, then the rest of the motor.
