I just finished the rehabilitation of the 1983 SS with a 440 Chrysler engine. This is the boat that I drove 12 hours one way to buy from Shamrock! He hooked me up with a real diamond in the rough.
This is my first MC after over 15 years buying new Malibus. My last Bu was a Response LXI. I really enjoyed my Bu's but my "new" boat is a show stopper.

Thanks to all for answering my questions and allowing me to lurk for over a year before joining.

Check out the pics at this link http://s347.photobucket.com/albums/p463/Rick_Seebeck/

Here is a quick run down:

New floor and floatation foam
New custom dash and Teleflex Lido gauges
New carpet and upholstery
New dash wiring
Completely new engine electronics including battery, starter, and all electronic ignition components.
New waterpump impleller
Carb rebuild
Total tune up
Custom powdercoated pylon to match dash.
Way too many hours sanding, polishing and waxing!
New cover
New gelcoat(professionally done)on all areas that had scratches.
Prop 14x20 rehabilitated
Gator grip on the platform

You would need to drive 12 hours from Mid Michigan to Tennessee!

Beautiful boat and great colors! We need some pictures of that 440! I'm a Mopar guy at heart with a Chevy in the boat and a Pontiac for a project car!

Great looking boat Rick. Now we have the 2 best looking boats on the lake. Ya, I'm the other s&s on the lake. I figured you were probably on here after i talked to you last weekend and you said you had just finished restoring. I know theres no better place than here for help and info on mc's. Although, I do have to say I'm a little jealous. You get to enjoy that nice calm smooth water during the week and I only get up there on the weekends and have to fight the rough water during wake times:(
