The rubber pier guard on my 91 prostar 190 is partially out of its track. It is grooved and nearly impossible to place back in the aluminum track. Does anyone know of any tricks to getting this back in line? It looks REALLY bad when partially hanging out.

A hair dryer to heat it up, and make the rubber softer will help sometimes.

Thanks. I'll try that. I noticed a metal brace in the back. I didn't know if removing that would help- but it looked like you would have to rethread the whole track, like the complete circumference of the boat.

The aluminum is all one piece if I remember right. The back is riveted to the hull, and the rubber pushes in.

I also hear soaking it in a bucket of near boiling water helps.
But be careful!
