Just picked up our first boat last month and am loving this board. Only taken it out twice so far, but the summer is long here in So. Cal and the winter is boat-friendly, so I'm gonna do my best to add as many hours to this sucker as possible.

Specs: '00 MasterCraft MariStar 230VRS. 136hrs, 330hp Indmar LTR engine, pretty much stock except for a big, honkin' Alpine amp. This winter I'll add a tower (probably a factory Mastercraft Zero-Flex) and some racks for the wakeboards to get them out of the way. Otherwise, it's a pretty good first boat that'll last us a while until we're ready (and can afford) to upgrade.

Stopping by the DMV in San Fran. to get it in my name minutes after buying it.

136hrs and stored inside. Thing is like new with a few exceptions. Had to take out the old Planet Audio amp that wasn't even screwed down and put in the Alpine. Also glued down the carpet where it was coming off and replaced the steering cable. Couple more little projects needed, but nothing major.

Plenty of room inside.

First outing on a little nearby lake with our good friends.

My wife takes the wheel most of the time. It's nice kicking back.

Hitting a little Mexican joint right on the lake. Hernandez Hideaway for you San Diego Folk.

Last weekend at San Vincente in S.D. Was 106-degrees, so we were lucky to get on the lake. Got a Hyperlite Shaun Murray 142 board. Now I just have to learn how to ride it. I suck.

My oldest, and his little girlfriend.
