View Full Version : Should I leave the Pinstripe on my 79 S/S?

Getting ready to button everything back on... I got the holes drilled for the new teak deck I got, but when I went to remove the pinstripe from the boat to replace it before I install all the thru-hull fittings, I kind of like the way it looks without the pinstripe?
What do you think?

Definitely the pin stripe IMHO...By the way your boat looks great you've made good progress, it's coming along, great job!

Okay it looks like I will keep the pinstripes!
Gonna try and finish everything up tomorrow...
Mad-Dog thanks for the kind words... It's been a daunting task as I work 5 days a week 10hr days... But it looks like I might make it out on the water for the 4th! (think I might have to hold off on the install of the new graphics until after the 4th - but the current graphics still look okay!)
P.S. ignore the trailer carnage/damage! Thats what I get for trying to get it up on the parking pad! Gotta have the prop guard rebuilt next week :(

Full tank of gas...a cold brew and big water is all you need, trailer can always wait...I just love these boats and you've made us proud ...enjoy the 4th...

Keep it. It's such a distinctive feature of the old S&S boats. Pinstriping is cheap. Tedious work, but cheap. Fairly cheap to have someone else do it, too.

teakworld in lebanon tn makes a awesome looking teak platform that just fits over ur fiberglass one and looks alot better IMHO. my biddy just put one on his 80 S&S!! call them up!!
