I sparked up my 92 PS205 with the HO 351 (EI) yesterday to make sure it was all good for this weekend. I decided I should check the timing. The engine is running fine, but something doesn't look right to me.

Is the mark on the flywheel supposed to line up with that little spike that comes out of the block?

My timing mark is way down near the bottom. About a 1/4 of the way around the flywheel from where I thought it should be.

I had the light hooked up to the #1 plug (front left). I didn't want to fix something that wasn't broken, so I left it alone.

Thoughts? Is that right?

The mark should be by the spikes....Isn't the #1 on the right?

In my defence, I've always been a Chevy guy. I didn't realize Fords started on the wrong side!

Yeah, and they go 1-2-3-4 on one bank and 5-6-7-8 on the other.
