My wife has a partner who has an Autistic child. Much like a diabetic he needs a special diet. One that is Gluten Free, Casen Free, & Tree Nut Free.

Her partner has purchased many of these products from health stores, but he just hands them back. So one day they decided to bake some cookies without flour. Her son loved them, so they have decided to market their idea.

Their company is called The Cookie Momsters and here's their website: http://www.cookiemomsters.com/

Please pass it along to anyone that has special dietary needs.

Thanks!

Rick

What is hteir capacity? If they can bake a lot of them, growing the business can happen pretty fast. If they get all of the licenses to sell food, etc and want to grow a lot, tell them to contact the local Celiac organization(s). People with Celiac Disease can't eat gluten and some of the same foods, so they will be interested. Celiac awareness is growing, however, and some stores are carrying foods specifically for these people but they may get in on the ground floor.

Jim,

Right now their capacity is very limited as it's just the two of them. Their plan is to market and ship the dough. However, they have contacted Native Sun and they are willing to sell cookies as well.

They have access to a commercial kitchen and have all the permits from the health department and the city to sell food.

The director of the local morning show is going to schedule them on very soon. Hopefully, this will kick start their business. They also have a booth at the National Autisim Convention in Orlando next month.

Thanks for the leads, I will pass them along.

Very cool. My 8 yr old son has Asperger's Syndrome (a form of autism) and I've heard about this diet. We haven't tried it yet though.

If you could get the business mentioned on oasisautism.org or autismspeaks.org, that could be helpful.

I have a grandson with Celliac. The order will be on the way! My daughter is making a 100 mile roundtrip today to a store that carries a lot of glutten free and they are having a seminar. What a great service this will provide. Good luck with it!
