View Full Version : 88 Prostar Blower Position

When I bought the boat, the blower was just "sitting" between the engine and the floor (under motor cover on starboard side of boat). It's not attached in any way.
I bought a replacement blower (existing one sometimes screeches), but I can't see where it should be mounted (even after looking at related posts on this site). I'm guessing bouncing around contributed to the "demise" of the existing blower.
Could someone post a picture that shows the original / correct placement of the blower on a 1988 (or comparable)? I see posts on the routing of the blower hose (which I'm also replacing), but if anyone wants to post pictures of that too I'd appreciate it.

It should be located on a plastic bracket next to the starter as shown here,

I have the same problem. The blower is just laying there unsecure. I cannot open the attachment referenced above. Can anyone clarify? Thanks!

Mine on my 93 is attached to the drivers side of the bilge halfway between the bottom and deck. It blows to the rear.
