View Full Version : 205 Owners Help Please
So I need to make a new sunpad for my 98 205, can anyone feel the thickness of the wood for the sunpad and let me know what there's is? I'm thinking 1/2-3/4"
Thanks

Its not wood. It is 1/2" HDPE.

For that piece, given its location, I would definitely make the base out of HDPE as opposed to wood.

Where is the HDPE? All I see is foam and wood...
Did your boat not have a pad before?

That's the template I cut out this morning and I just cut the hdpe, and yes I had a pad up until last weekend heading to the river on the I-10 around Vicksburg.

2 rubber stops, 2 z-brackets and 2 push pins and my pins were broke so I'm pretty sure thats what led to lift off :D when they'e new and you put them in they're like car body clips and a pain in the neck to remove the pad, but I tell you this is more a pain in the neck than the 2 pins I should have replaced. Here's what I had to look at all weekend, no pad

Coz, That sucks!! I lost mine this weekend as well. I saw it go flying off in the rearview and stopped and picked it up. I have to do some vinyl repair but I just went thru the exact same thing you did of making a new one this spring and it already blew off. (I was the one you told it wouldn't blow off) I guess we will have to rig up a better way of fastening them!!!
