FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Neosho to Welcome Collegiate Water Skiers

Following the recent foreclosure of Ski Decorah in Adams, Wisconsin, the Wisconsin Collegiate Ski Corporation was left without a site to host their 3-Event State Championships. Tournament Services of Wisconsin was able to use their existing relationship with the Village of Neosho to secure the use of Woodlawn Park and the Mill Pond as the site of this yearís event.

Hans Weissgerber III, President of Tournament Services of Wisconsin, LLC, was very pleased with the cooperative and enthusiastic response he received from Village President, Ken Werner. Weissgerber said, ďItís really great to have a relationship with a community that realizes the value of hosting an event like this. At a time when water ski events are increasingly rare on public waterways, it is refreshing to be welcomed."

The tournament will be held April 29 through May 1, and the public is encouraged to come watch some great Collegiate Water skiing.

Tournament Services of Wisconsin is committed to raising the public profile of competitive water sports through learn-to-ski clinics, slalom practice leagues and tournament support services. The company also has a strong tradition of advancing collegiate water sports programs.

6balls,
Is it a comp where people can enter, and what evens are in it, can we bring out boats and have them sitting on the water (not running)? how long it is for each day, and its the 19 of April right?
Thanks

I would doubt that they would have many other boats on the lake (if it is private) and if it is public then probably not within a couple hundred yards as they wouldn't want anyone to creat a wake.

The tourny is collegiate only, it is not an open.

Actually, We welcome other "observation" boats for this vent as the slalom portion is hard to see from shore. As long as you idle out and anchor you are welcome. Saturday should be 8a to 5 p and Sunday 8a to around 3p - Come check it out. :headbang:

Pretty much - 3 years ago it snowed 2 inches over night and the events still went off. They had to shovel off the jump ramp.

Actually, this is not a Tournament Services Event. It is a Wisconsin Collegiate Waterski Corporation event and will be run by the UW-Lacrosse team. I merely got the site for them and am providing support services.
