Cigars what do you smoke

I have started enjoying a cigar from time to time and I am looking for a good smooth smoke. So far all I have tried is the dime store variety and I am looking for something that has character.
What I would like from you is this

What do you smoke?
What do you like about it?
Were do you get it?
How much does it cost?

My plans are to make a list of all possible smokes, buy one of each and try them out and maybe I will find one that I really like.

Some interesting facts about Lone Star Beer.

Lonestar Brewery was originaly founded by Adolphus Busch of Anheuser-Busch.

Lone Star Beer has been owned by 5 different companies. (Anheuser-Busch, Olympia Brewing Company, G. Heileman, Stroh's Brewing Company, Pabst Brewing Company)

The formula for Lone Star Beer was created by a Munich, Germany brewer named Peter Kreil in 1940.

Lone Star Beer is currently owned by Pabst but is brewed by Miller Brewing Company in Fort Worth, TX.

It was originaly named Sabinas then Champion and it wasnt until 1940 that it was named Lone Star.

I like this thread!!

For the start, I won't recommend any bad cigars just cause you're a longhorn, the whooping we gave y'all on friday was enough!!

:D

My personal fav is the Cusano 18 Double Connecticut- Toro
It's a milder cigar which I like, And it's got a woody taste to it. The taste changes throughout the cigar, which is nice, cause it's annoying to spend an hour smoking something that is the same throughout. It is smooth throughout all the flavors and the wrapper almost always burns even.
They're only 4.50, and can be ordered from your local cigar shop if they don't have them!

Second favorite is the Gurkha Master Select- A little richer, and about 15-20 dollars depending on where you go, these are always good cigars, in fact I recommend all Gurkhas!

Third favorite is the Acid- Kuba Kuba. Acid cigars are infused with tea, and it makes for a little sweeter taste, that is enjoyable for a light smoke. You can find these at all cigar shops, and even specs. they're about 6.25 apiece, and well worth it!! The acid 1400CC is pretty good to!!

Enjoy!!

That is a wealth of information! ;)

The cigar I smoke most is a La Unica # 200 Maduro. It is mild, 6.5 x 49. They are very inexpensive, too. About $3 each from JR Cigar and come in a bundle of 20. They are made in the Fuente factory.

I've smoked a ton of different cigars. Some favorites are Hoyo de Monterrey Excalibur, almost anything from Fuente, Ashton, and Punch. I'm not too good at describing them, I just know what I like.

I used to go to a cigar shop and just buy a bunch of different ones and try them. I would still recommend that. My favorite place to go was JR Cigar in NJ when it first opened. It was the world's largest humidor, from what I was told. Not sure if it was true.

My top choices in no real order.

Peroni in Italy
Soporo in Japan
Heiniken at the brewery in the real Sin City
Pauliner in their tent at OctoberFest
Shiner in Texas

Tex, you're killin' me buddy!! I'm 18, I'll be 19 on Saturday. I'm a bit more cultured than most my age, I was born in Cali, moved to Saudi Arabia when I was 2, lived there for three years, but 6 months of that three years was spent in Leeds, England due to the Gulf War evacuations, then moved to Abu Dhabi, UAE, lived there for two years. Moved to Texas at 6, Lived here til third grade. My little sister was born when I was eight and a half, and about the same time, we were scheduled to move to Congo, West Africa. Our stuff was all packed up in a big moving trailer, and was supposed to be shipped out within a day. That day it some how caught fire, and everything we owned, burned. I moved to California to live with my grandparents for a year while my parents took care of insurance stuff. Mom moved to Cali with sister about four months after me, and dad continued on with his job in the Congo for the rest of the year. Fourth grade year we moved back to Houston, and lived there til my I was 15. In between these two times, Dad worked a 28/28 rotational in Russia on the Caspian sea. from there, at the age of 15 we moved to Port-of-Spain, Trinidad. Lived there for a year, and picked up a love for boats, being on the water, the laid back Caribbean mindset, beer, and rum! moved back to Houston when I was 17. finished my junior and senior years of high school at the same one I had my freshman year at, it was almost like taking a years vacation in between school! The beginning of my senior year, my mom was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Right before this my dad had started working another 28/28 rotational in Nigeria. Mom underwent a double mass., reconstruction, and chemo. This was a hard time with mom being at the doctor alot, and dad being in Nigeria for work. The G'Rents moved from Cali to Houston to be closer to us during this time as well. Took care of mom, senior year, which was nothing short of a blessing! graduated last year, and now I'm at Texas A&M an hour away from home!! I know ya didn't want a life story, but it turned into it. I've been smoking cigars since I turned 18, and found a taste for the cheap ones that were still well made! Now that I'm in college I've found that nothing compares to a Bombay Sapphire and Tonic, and a good cigar. Nothing except some Angostura 1919 Rum I might add.

Second question, I'm not sure, never rolled a blunt!!

Now I know why this and other posts in this thread went bad,

TAMPA, Fla.(AP) The Florida Highway Patrol says anyone missing two big bags of pot can call their Tampa area office. A crew picking up litter from along Interstate 4 near Tuesday morning made an unusual find: two big plastic garbage bags stuffed with freshly harvested marijuana.
FHP Trooper Larry Coggins says the 60 pounds of pot might be worth around $54,000 on the street. It probably fell off or was thrown from a car on the interstate.
The plants appeared freshly picked and some had intact roots.
Coggins says it's not the largest amount of pot ever dumped along a roadside, but it's certainly not a common find.

and "Beer Run", Garth Brooks and George Jones and it goes somethin' like this here,

Twenty-five minutes past quitting time
Seven of us crammed into that truck of mine
Paying no attention to them highway signs
Doing ninety miles an hour toward the county line
Quick sack, twelve pack, back again
It's a B-double E-double are you in?

My buddies and their babies letting down their hair
As long as we're together it don't matter where
Ain't got a lot of money but we just don't care
Knowing half the fun is in the getting there
Aztec, long necks, paychecks spent
Oh, It's a B-double E-double are you in?

I can't stop thinking
What the hell they were drinking
When they made this county dry
I got a week-long thirst
And to make it worse
Lord, it's my turn to drive

Laughing and bragging and a' carrying on
We loaded up the wagons and we headed home
I guess half a dozen cases doesn't last that long
Come tomorrow morning it'll be all gone
Then, it's turn around, leave town, sounds again
Like a B-double E-double are you in?

There was a movie...late 80's maybe...had John Candy, Jim Belushi. It was about a biker gang...actually a pretty funny movie. Anyway, there was a song...

"if they ain't got cold beer in heaven
I don't wanna go
if they ain't got cold beer in heaven
I just as soon stay home..."

Anybody remember that movie???

There was a scene where Candy is driving a beer truck that gets highjacked by the biker gang. They leave him on the side of the road with a six pack...he's picked up like 20 minutes later. Policeman: "Are you drunk boy? Have you been drinking???" Candy: "I had no choice offisher (slurs) I had to drink it....I had to drink it to survive."

Wish I could remember the name of the movie.....

I like beer because it is good
I drink beer because I should
If there was a song to sing
I sing it and beer you bring

I drink beer when I am sad
Cuz the beer it makes me glad
There is nothing left to say
So let's go drink beeer.

BEER IS GOOD
BEER IS GOOD
BEER IS GOOD
...AND STUFF

BEER IS GOOD
BEER IS GOOD
BEER IS GOOD
Let's go drink some...

When it's warm it tasts real crappy
But cold beer will make me happy
When I throw up on the floor
I can go and drink some more

They say beer will make me dumb
It are go good with pizza
Now that we have drunk some beer
Let's go drive a car.

You clean up pretty good. I usually just see you in a swim suit....but the beer in your hand part is the same:D

I think a better suggestion would be to poll it. Did TT members enjoy all the silly stuff or was there great harm done. I was on for a while and it seemed to me all good laughs. Looked like you had some fun with it all #1?? Lets see there was no foul language, no nudity, no "mean spirited posts toward other TT members Right.

Someone explain what was so egregious about a few silly threads!

Is it not obvious?

I had a ball, and have enjoyed the tomfollery over the last 2 years that happens on occassion here!, But, I guess with the "New Format" of Team MasterCraft and everything else, there are some new rules out there that have not been posted and we're not familar with yet, I dunno????????????? At least in those threads, there weren't any rude, mean spirited or disrespectful remarks made, but that's a whole nother issue.

First - the content of the sunglasses, beer, hull blisters, sunglasses, sunglasses, sunglasses, etc .... threads was for the most part tame ... the threads were merged b/c they were taking up all the room at the top ... and if you are a new user and/or not here for all of the off topic material, you were likely confused or frustrated by the top two pages of new posts being about nonsence ... the threads (nonsence) were started for UMP's birthday, they were deleted that evening PST, so UMP's birthday was over ... we are not trying to be censors ... but some of you were in the know about the joke and some of you were not ... the volume of threads was simmilar to a bunch of spam email ... I know it is winter and the ammount of OT posts will go up ... but as Leroy has stated, there was a reason for the merging and temporary removal ... and in the future we do not expect to have to deal with multiple nonsence threads hijacking the board... some of us have been on here for only a short time, while others have been here longer ... simmilarly, some are easily offended and some are not ... although you guys were great abot not posting objectionable material (I have not looked at all 600+ posts), I think we can all agree that the number of threads was disruptive to the board

Got an early Christmas present from my wife yesterday. A pair of Costa Hammerheads with the 580 blue mirror glass lenses. By far the nicest pair of sunglasses I have ever owned or tried on. The clarity is awesome.

Ric you should be proud

Did this thread always have this stupid poll at the top, or is there a major malfunction? I could swear it didn't use to be there, or maybe it was a different poll?? Did I miss something?

That Texas dealer didn't have the 580 lenses on his site. Also my wife got them from work so with employee discount and holiday sale they were a deal.

The poll is from when the sunglass threads were combined.

Duly noted that the Texas dealer needs to clean up his listings and add a few good ones!

Milkman better not go back to Sams for shades. He can window shop all he wants but he better not get too torqued up to say no!
