How to cut the wire reinforced Water Hose?

I am preparing to install this new Y-Fitting (http://www.skidim.com/prodinfo.asp?number=H424&variation=&aitem=3&mitem=4) to improve my heat at low engine speeds.

I am curious how people recommend to cut the wire reinforced Water Hose. Hacksaw?

Ice is out on the lake, I hope to get out this weekend!

I did this about 4 or 5 years ago & think you'll be very happy with how it works.... heat at idle speeds. As I recall, I cut the hose with a knife & the reinforce wiring inside with dikes. I did have to pull the hose out of the bilge to work on it though.

Chop saw works great. Just be sure to clean out the inside of the hose.

Pocket knife or pruning shears works great.
