We just got a 1980 ProAm. It has a 351 windsor motor. We had to replace the baylis on it...but now we can't remember how to put it back together. We called a dealer/parts place and they refuse to give us a copy of the wiring diagram. Can anyone tell me how to put it back on or where I can get a copy of the diagram? Fast help would be greatly appreciated. We would like to get the boat in the water this weekend.

What conversion is it? PCM?

I suggest you give Vince at SkiDim a call.

They are great with the older boats, especially orphans.

and what is a Baylis?

it has something to do with the electrical system on the back of the motor. Something to do with the batteries and starting and running. Not exactly sure. There are only a few wires that connect it...but we don't want to hook it back up wrong and toast something.

If it is a PleasureCraft Marine Conversion (PCM), I may be aboe to help you.

Have a photo of it?

Yes...I am pretty sure that is what we have. At least that is what it says on it.

Check out this Service Manual (http://www.correctcraftfan.com/Downloads/PCMsvcmanual.pdf) (big file!)
Check between pages 92 and 106

My hubby doesn't HAVE me trying to solve the problem...I am doing it because he is working on another project. Trying to do two things at once. What does that have to do with the topic of this thread?

Hey did ski kings diagram work? I personally thought the Baylis thing was funny, and you did just sign up to get help with your wiring problem. Someone here stepped up to the plate immediately and you got pissy with a member with over 3,000 posts? I hope you get your bote started and have a great weekend.
