Currently I have two JL M6450 pushing 6 JL cockpit speakers, 4 JL tower speakers and 1 JL sub. They are powered by the stock wiring, meaning two 4 gauge power cables and two 4 gauge ground cables which are wired to the two batteries.
My question:

I would like to add a JL M1400 to run the sub along with a capacitor to help with the power draw. How would I go about wiring this? Could I run both power cables to the positive terminal on the capacitor via a distribution block and then using another distribution block to split it up to the three amps? Same thing with the ground cable, or do I have to use a different grounding point for the capacitor then the amps? If so where should I ground it?

I understand I could run one power and one ground of 0 gauge to the capacitor and then use 4 gauge from the capacitor to the amps, but this would cost a lot more and would require me to re-run the wires. If I can avoid this it would be great, but if I cannot I will just go this route.

Thanks in advance,

Search up either deisels 209 thread or deisels dual battery thread . I dont know the answer but I bet you find it there.

I have read both threads. From what I can see from the pictures, Diesel ran 0 gauge to his capacitor and then 4 gauge to this amps. I know this is the optimal way of doing this, but I was wondering if I could get around this.

If you get on Ebay you can pick up that cable pretty cheap. Downside is you will wait a week or so probably for it to get to you. I ran 2 guage to my new amp and ran it inside 1/2" grey flexible conduit under the seating area so its protected and out of the way.
