I have a 05 x-45 and its giving me some trouble this season. when i bought the boat last season i guess it had some bad gas so i had some issues with performance. changed the spark plugs and cleaned out tank, and that seemed to fix it. This season i took it out and it seemed to run ok but something just wasnt right, after about a hour it started to run really rough. I put some stabil in the gas at the end of last season for storage but thought maybe it could be the issue again, so for kicks we changed the spark plugs again and took her back out.

She ran perfect the whole time we was there until we headed back for the dock. We was cruisin at like 40 mph and stopped, then when i started to go again it started to shake real bad and lost some power. It seemed to have trouble idle like it was missing or something. When put in neutral you could rev it to like 2 rpm's and it would idle fine but just sitting normal , not so much. messed around with it a bit more , each time id gun it it would shake really bad.

So we left, came home and looked at the fuel filter , drained all the old gas, cleaned the sea strainer, replaced the gas , double checked the plugs and connection, and took her back out. it seemd to run a little better at first but still has issue idle and shakes when giving it gas. also ive lost quite a bit of power, when i start its really sluggish until i get on top of the water then it will pick up a bit but nothing like normal. In turns it loses everything.

Given the circumstances lettin the dealer figure it out isnt a option so before i track down a diffrent boat shop to fix it , any input or help would be greatly appreciated.

I kinda thought it might be the prop? like if i hit something i didnt know about , but when i look at it there is nothing drastic although my buddy swears he felt a small bend.

thanks!

If you cannot get to a MC dealer then 2nd option would at least be a dealer that sells boats with indmar engines. My guess would be you have multiple issues and its hard to quick fix without hooking the boat up to a code reader. I experienced a Crank positioning sensor failure last year and without the dealer I would have speculated for weeks. Boat was throwing Cam positioning sensor codes also but one controls the other. You might contact indmar for the closest dealer to you.
