I think its a 4160 Marine Carb, but not sure. I also need to know if the rebuild kits come with the fitting for the end of the fuel line too.

If it is the original carb it is going to be a Holley 4010 (I think '91 was the first year of them but may have been '92). Take a look at it. Does it have just a single fuel line that goes in the front (4160) or does it have a line that goes up and delievers fuel to the front and the back of the carb (4010)

If it's a 4160, it will look like this, with one fuel line inlet on the port front end,
35574Front is on the right!
35575Front is on the right!
If it's a 4010 it will have two fuel inlets on the starboard side, front and rear and will look simular to this,

I think the 4010 appeared with the 92 model year along with the appearance of the 351 HO. I'll go with 4160.

The leak is a fairly quick one right where the fuel comes in the Carb, not sure if I should do a complete rebuild or just take the line off and see if I can find the fittings. I was 17 the last time I pulled and rebuilt a Carb, that was the last time I did anything with a fuel system besides put gas in.

That fitting that is in the carb, usually has a gasket behind it against the bowl and is also a filter/strainer. When tightening the line to the fitting on either the 4160 or the 4010 the line will twist and be put in tension and it will actually cause the carb fitting to back off over time and leak due to the tension, expansion, contraction and vibration. I got fed up with mine backing off and leaking at least once a year, so I replaced mine with a flexible S/S braided line and it has not leaked in 6 years!
What I did when mine leaked was remove the fuel line, tighten the bowl fitting up as tight as you feel comfortable with, then reinstall the fuel line fitting into the bowl fitting. You will probably see the steel line twist as the flair on the line starts making good contact with the bowl fitting. That's when the tension takes place. If you can prevent the line twist you may solve the leaking when it backs off

If it is just leaking where the fuel line goes in it may be simply the little gasket which is a $1.39 part and 5 minutes to change..

Or if it is stripped you can just replace the primary bowl.

Thanks Brian and those parts can be bought locally w/o any shipping charges for much less too.

Great advice, I will try that first, I doubt the bowl is stripped but judging from your pic I was tightening the wrong thing. I will take that little section apart and see what I can come up with.
That gasket avalible at most Car quest or can I go to the cheapies to get it.

In case you have any interest, I work with an engine builder that is a carb. god (builds carbs for Ricky Rudd). I also owned a 91 PS190 and Allan worked over that carb as well as others for me. When done, boat is more fuel efficient and much stronger. Boat started at click of key. Always $ well spent.
If any interest PM and I'll give you contact #

If your leak is where the fuel line goes to the carb, when you check your gasket, find out what the torque specs are before you reattach the line. Overtightening it will cause it to leak. Mine developed a leak for that very reason. Took it to my dealer, he checked the gasket (which was fine), tightened it to spec, and no more leak. Job done in a matter of minutes.

I'm with Harold. Take the tube off, then tighten the fittiing first, then the tube onto the fitting. As ETS stated, there is no need to crank on it.

ok, gasket 3.00 and torque wrench 12.00... got it. Nascar guy to rebuild my carb... priceless!!
Thanks for all the advice, and I will take the rebuild under advisement and let you know. I think i made the small leak bigger by trying to tighten it up without knowing exactly what I was doing. If I get a gasket and torque it correctly that may take care of it. no problems getting gas or power on takeoff etc... so I will try this first.... thanks again, you guys are the boat masters!!... I would sell a Nautigue and by an MC just to get the great advice on this board.
so the larger fitting goes in the bowl with the gasket between. then the 2nd fitting into the larger. How can I tell if either of these are damaged or dont look right. what do they look like? I know full of questions...

I know MC appreciates that, but it's by no means a requirement (at least I hope it isn't). :o

Ok so, I went to the lake to get a look at the gasket in the Carb... apparently that leak was a problem for the PO because teh fitting on the fuel line coming up from the pump is stripped.... Can someone that is mechanically inclined give me some advice on what to do here?
