just wondering if anyone know where you can find Speaker Grills for the MC tower speaker, looking for something other than the stock JL audio grills . For 06 X-Star. Or does the 08 JL audio grills come in aluminum color grills
mymastercraft.com has billet grills. Also 13 floor and some of the wakeboard sites sell them. JL grills only come in black and white. You will have to prime and paint to get colors.

i put the billet grills on my boat all the way around. they look really nice. everyone comments on them, even the people who don't care about the music. BUT, whoa baby, are they expensive. I got lucky and found some used ones or i would never have been able to afford them.

Do you have a picture of them or know where you may buy some used ones? Are they specific to JL audio speakers, I have looked at mymastercraft.com but can't seem to locate any pictures of them

If you can find them used go for it. Not sure if I would buy them again, $220 per set.
What's another $900 on top of an already expensive boat.

Is there a screen behind the grill on those to protect the speaker since there are larger open spots in the grills

no, there is no screen. my xstar took 10 sets plus a sub cover. a lot more than $900 worth. but boy do they look nice. i think that they would look even better if the speaker rims were the new black ones instead of the white ones like in the picture above. mine are the white ones also. good luck.
