Bimini attachment points

I just got a MC bimini for my 03 PS 197 TT with a mini tower. I need to find out where the exact attachment points on the tower are so I can mount it. Anyone have any pics or measurements?

I just installed MC bimini on my 197 last week. Top came with directions and EXACT measurements. Fits like a glove. If you do not have instructions, I would get them faxed to follow because top install was very precise.

I'd recommend getting an instruction sheet sent or faxed from your dealer. My MC bimini didn't come with any instructions and was just going to "eyeball" it...very glad I didn't. The measurements were precise enough that if you would have been off by less than a half inch, the attachment points wouldn't have lined up with the accon mounts.

I had to drill holes in the tower and put inserts in...the accon mounts then fastened to the inserts with hex machine screws. The inserts are much like a rivet in how they attach - they slide right into the hole, and then you use a small nut or washer and hex bolt to draw the insert/mushroom it in from the inside of the tower tube. Hopefully this makes sense - kinda hard to explain. Anyway, I just did my bimini a couple weeks ago..if you have questions feel free to PM me. Good luck -

I'm not sure how to PM you but I would like your help if you can. The dealer in Seattle was not willing to help and Mastercraft of Charlotte said there are no instructions available as all their boats came with the biminis already on the tower. Could you let me know where you got your instructions and also the necessary inserts and other hardware. I have the accon mounts as the boat originally had the non tower bimini mounted off the windshield.
