06 X45 Tower Speaker Install...

Hey all,
I just bought 4 cans with LED's, I dont think this boat is pre-wired...has anyone done this themselves...Is there a wiring harness...where do I drill? Etc..

I just got through adding speakers so here is what I found:

Get in the compartment under the glove box where your stero deck is. There should be a hole where wires run up into the tower. If not wires are going up into the tower then you will need to run wires. I had to drill mine out and make it bigger to fit extra wires. You will also need to drill holes in the side of the tower up top where the tower fits together. When running the wires up the tower you will need to fold it forward to help get the wires up. I had to run a fish tape up the tower pull the wires back down. This is a little tuff since the tower fits together in pieces before they weld it together. It has different thickness sections in the tower so may be difficult getting the wires through. Most auto stores will see GM weathertite connectors which is what my boat had stock from the factory. I put black 1/2 cable shield around the wire where it goes into the tower to keep the metal edges from chaffing the wire. I would be willing to bet that your boat is prewired for tower speakers.
