On the front of the trailer there is a V that the boat rests in with a pad on each side where do you get them and what is it called. It is an 89 model trailer. Thanks for the help.

Are you talking about the welded steel part or the wooden blocks covered with carpet that bolt to the welded part?

I think he is talking about the V.......every part of it i beleive so that would mean some fabricating must be done.....i had my "boat mechanic" make me one

Now we are getting somewhere!
I replaced my plastic ones on our '89 over 17 years ago with 3/4" marine plywood (any 3/4" treated wood would do, and if I ever replace again, I'll use solid wood) 5" wide x 7 3/4" long each side, with a 45 degree bevel on the ends where they meet in the V, drilled the holes, countersunk for the bolt head and washer to be below the face of the wood and contact cemented carpet to totally cover them after I epoxied in the bolt/washer so it wouldn't turn after covered with carpet when the nuts are tightened down snug.
