We are spending the Memorial Day weekand at Cedar Point in the cottages. I was wondering if anyone has ever taken their boat to Cedar point to go boating on Lake Erie. If so, where did you park it and where did you launch it?

I haven't taken MY boat there, but there is a launch right in the parking lot of the park, that i have seen others using. BUT i think you have to have a reservation for the dock. Try:

I would be interested to know how it was when you get back.

I called Cedar Point Marina and their transient dock is $50 per night for boats under 30'. Also, the closest launch is at Batery Park Marina and cost $15 to launch and has a place to store the trailer. I think we are going to give it a try.

I'll let you know how it went. We are going with three families and kids. And the weather report looks great.

I can handle the Park for a day, but three days is a little much, so the boat is going with.

I am up on sandusky bay every weekend. There are not really a lot of drops on cedar point. I will tell you this. Watch out for the sandbar up there. You will see where it is marked and I assume there is going to be a bunch of people sitting there.

If you stay in the bay area you will get some alright water depending on the boat traffic!

I would tell you lets meet up but Im going to the Indy 500 this weekend
