View Full Version : Removing Tree Sap from Teak Deck

During storage last summer (which I later noticed was right under a huge pine tree) I acquired a bunch of tree sap spots on my teak deck. This past weekend I sanded the deck with 120 grit for a good while and cleaned with teak cleaner, but was unable to remove all signs of the sap. Any ideas on how to remove the sap without sanding the entire deck down to the metal supports?

De-natured alcohol works really well. Goo Gone works well too. Just try it in an inconspicous spot.
