I don't know what you call them, we called them "cookies" when riding jetskis but how do you do those 360's like they do in ski shows at Cypress Gardens? Always wanted to try one but never until now had the boat that could do one.

Warn your passengers what you're going to do. Take your boat up to speed (25 mph should do it). Simultaneously pull the throttle to neutral and turn the steering wheel hard.

I consider this a maneuver to be done sparingly. It's got to put some stress on the underwater gear. It's fun though. Just be careful.

Cool! Going to give it a whirl this weekend! Thanks, I will do it sparingly

Just be careful. You don't need to be going full tilt to make this happen.

Not that it makes any lick of a difference, but my "younger" boating buds call these bat-turns! :eek3:

Hey Kell,
When we finally get together, I'd show ya how to do Around the Boat...... almost a bat turn but in control & with a skier at the end of the rope!

I've also heard them called power slides (I think that was the same thing).

We used to do a lot of around the boats. Very fun and not near as hard on the boat as true bat-turns. Got to make sure everyone involved especially the driver and spotter are focused on what they are doing. Good times.

More fun if you are going full tilt, just hold on.

AirJunky I'd love to see that, but not with me at the end of the rope! ;)

Must be something wrong with your boat. Take it to the dealer. ;)

In show sking it's called a wash out and they use it on boat - O's or around the boat trick! Don't do it all the time espically if you have ever hit the bottem of your boat pretty hard because are club has sunk a boat before doing it! 25 MPH is pretty slow, ( we do it at full speed! )

I think there's a story here that needs to be told!

I think it was 75'

That is mostly a drivers act, looks kewl for the skier, all he has to do is hang on :) Not that I would even attempt it!

I've done thousands, consequently, millions of them! Of course it is a boat driver's trick, but still shorten the line, they are so much easier and faster!
