I recently purchased a used 2003 X2 which came with the 2003 MC trailer. I noticed that the break away cable was missing (must have broken away at some point, most likely an unsuccessful un-coupling) and want to replace it. I've been searching everywhere to find out who makes the coupler. The trailer says Reliable on the coupler housing and axle but when I go on their site there are no couplers listed. Does anyone know who makes the coupler or where to get parts for it?

Post a picture.

Does it look like this (http://ufpnet.com/PDF/Actuators.PDF)? UFP actuators were used on at least my '98 trailer.

If so, DHMTrailers.com (http://www.dhmtrailers.com/online/home.php?cat=133) or Waymires (http://www.waymires.com/home.htm) could help you out.

My buddy's 2003 MasterCraft trailer has the same actuator that I have, and it's not a UFP. The name of the one that I have escapes me.

I have another buddy that has that UFP on his 4Winns trailer and I think it's a great actuator. The one on our 2003/2004 MasterCraft trailer...not so much.

Thanks for the reply. It's not a UFP, wish it were. They have a great web site and customer service. My 95 MariStar had a UFP and I did a retro fit to disc brakes. I'll get a picture in the next couple days (the boat in is the shop right now) but it is not a UFP. Wish I could retro fit this to a UFP but believe the mounting points are different (the holes don't line up). I agree that this one is not as nice. It seems to work well but there is little support or documentation on this actuator.
