Went to go see my 40th Anniverary X-star that arrived at Buckeye Marine in Bobcaygeon, On thursday.... I too a quick peep and will be taking formal delivery next week friday!

We left most of the transport cover on as it was raining on and off all day...

P.S. Boat was loaded off Transport truck onto single axle trailer just for rolling around and pdi... not being delivered on that...

Nice boat!

Are you pulling it with a Toureg? How do you think it will do?

What engine in the boat, L-18? Just wondering what's turning that prop.

Looks great! Congratulations. Thanks for the pictures - I saw the JL Audio stuff on sale at Crutchfield (http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/Category/GroupMenu.aspx?showAll=N&g=216950&searchdisplay=JL+Audio&tp=1194)but I hadn't heard of it and wanted more info on the quality. Judging by the fact that it appears to be standard on MC boats, I guess I will look into it more.

My old boat may rattle apart if I put too much, but do like clean sound and the two-way systems with the tweeter and mid woofer seem to be very flexible as to mounting options. Sub woofer will have to go under the closed bow in my boat I guess.

My computer frooze up..... posted to get admins to delete....

NJSkier- Going to tow the odd time with the Touareg, should have no problems with it. I mainly stays at our Cottage dock, maybe 2,3 times a year it will visit other lakes...

Boat has the MCX in it. Should be fine for us. I don't sense putting more that 2500+ ballast in it. Also I can wait a bit to let it to plane out.

Aparently this is the new prop that OJ is offering for the boat... can't rememeber where I read the specs...should you can find if you search for a post from OJ props.

WOW!!! Congrats!!!

Now, tell the dealer YOU WANT THAT TRAVEL COVER AND ALL THE PACKING MATERIAL!!!

That way, if you need to take a long trip you can use it instead of the ratchet cover. The whole inside of the cover should be felt-lined and will protect the boat nicely on the road.

I finagled a cover from my dealer for a 1000 mile trip. I had to cut/modify it to go around the tower legs, but it looks like you can fold the tower down, throw this cover on and go...

EJ OJPROP

We now offer another size for the MCX and 6.0 motor, 14.75 X 15.5 LC XMP EDGE 4-Blade part # 522. This propeller has replaced the 14.25 X 14.5 as standard from the factory. We also now offer a 14.75 X 17.5 LC XMP EDGE 4-Blade for the 8.1 set ups. We still have the 14.25 X 14 and 14.25 X 14.5 in production as well.

flashydubber

Interesting information.

So for all 2008 X-star boats with the MCX and 6.0 motors come with the 14.75 X 15.5 LC XMP EDGE 4-Blade part # 522

How is this prop with extra wieght in the boat? Pros or cons in comparision to the 14.25 x 14 prop?

EJ OJPROP

Correct, the 522 is now standard. The addition of extra ballast, depending on how much, may require propping down to the 14.25 X 14.5 or for extreme extra ballast the 14.25 X 14. The 522 runs very well even with some additional ballast.

When did Mastercraft begin putting the tower stabilizer/support on the X star tower? I thought that was just for the smaller diameter towers.
