I have a question/concern regarding the log stuffing gland and shaft packing to eliminate water entering in the hull. Suggestions and ideas on what I need to do would be a tremendous help

I too and from the great state of Georgia. I have been restoring a 82 S&S and could possibly help with the shaft packing questions, but then again so can the many great folks on this forum. PM me with any questions during the restore process....as mentioned I too am going through this sometimes painfull process.

Eric from OJ and other members recommended these shaft seals http://www.skidim.com/prodinfo.asp?number=OJ2011 I'm going with the oj. I'm tired of the drips too and if this gets rid of them, good ta go!

Here's another style http://www.skidim.com/prodinfo.asp?number=PY1HG10X17

They have different shaft applications too.
