WOW....Thank you for the post C36 that is one of the best threads I've ever seen on this site.

I'm not in the market at this point, but if I was this would definately be at the top of my list.

Hope someone here picks this boat up and keeps it as clean as it appears.

That's a good looking boat. Anybody know what a Sportstar 19 OB went for new in 1999?

Wow. A well equipped SS19 in 1998 is still in the $19k range. I guess the 5.7 and bow seating for 99 draw a pretty big premium.

I was just guessing. I knew the 1998 Sportstar was $19,900 and was figuring with the engine upgrade, open bow, new dash and trunk that it probably pushed the SSOB in 1999 in to somewhere in the mid to upper twenties.

1999 (SportStar Open Bow) WaterSki Magazine Boat Buyers Guide stated:

MRSP on base boat $23,995 (5.7 l EFI, 310 hp)
MRSP on test boat $24,620 (5.7 l EFI, 330 hp)

Pretty good "guess" BrianM :)

Only 25% depreciation in 9 years isn't bad. Blue book has it with a tandem axle and the gear he lists for under $14K. I think it's worth somewhere in the middle.

Guys, it's this one...

Yes, it is priced high right now but I'm willing to negotiate especially with someone around here.

And yes, it really is as clean as it looks.

it is priced high right now

It is easier to negotiate down than it is to go up!;)

My friend has this exact boat and I have skiied behind it and driven it many times. It has a great ski wake and I love how it handles. Very nimble and responsive and tracks well. His has a tower and has in immamculate condition and low hours and I think he paid around $25,000 for it about 3-4 years ago.

I have the exact boat and bought it from the original owner. He paid around 25,000 for it new with the upraged engine(330hp) and the upgraded paint scheme. I bought mine this year and gave around 14 for it. I have only wakeboarded behind it so far and love it. It has a nice factory wake for a ski boat and from the looks of it the wake pretty much disappears at about 30mph. I love the way that it handles! It turns on a dime. My boyfriend was pulling me while I boarded and said that it handles excelent!

Russlars and Wakechic are describing it perfectly. It alone has converted 3 of my buddies into inboard owners based on its handling. And she's right, the wake pretty much disappears about 30 and I love footin behind it. It has the perfect little flat spot next to the outside curl of the wake at 39-40.
