Don't know about everyone else but I always post mine on facebook, webshots, or something like that and then right click on them and save them to my computer. Then go back and load them on here! That's the only way I have figured out to do it. Hope this helps.

I just sent them to you thanks. I did reduce the size, however, for some reason I could not get them to attach. Hope you have better luck!!!

Hey Jeff, who bought the old boat?

Actaully a guy down in your neck of the woods. The boat was delivered to him last Friday and I heard from him on Saturday to tell me how much he loves the boat.
Almost a shame to see it go....but room had to be made for the new one!!! (I think your gonna like it and it will most likely be for sale towards the end of the year with a little of 100 hours on it!!!)

I believe it is...... I always knew you'd come in handy someday!!!
He had a 92 SN Open Bow that my PS197 replaced.

So, do you ski with him?

As far as your commission goes, we'll have to hook-up this summer and ski together, I think I'll be in Columbus next Saturday for the In Water Boat Show that BoatHouse Marine is doing!

Thats him, I talked to him 3 or 4 times about your boat.

I have skied with Ron before but not in the last few years.

Thanks for the push, I think he will be very happy with it as it's a great boat. Hopefully you'll get the chance to ski it...I put the 06 rudder on it with a slight grind and she drives awesome. The stereo cranks pretty good to!

That's one sweet looking rig though. Congrats!

Surprised me to but somehow we just couldn't bring ourselves to put a tower on this boat........YET. If I keep it longer than a year a min tower may be in the future but we'll see.
As far as her wakeboarding career we have a friend with an X10 that provides most of the wakeboard pulls in our group.

I really appreciated the pull behind your yellow 197. That was (still is I'm sure) a great boat but I have to tell you I like the new one even better! An '08 mini tower with a black bimini would look great on it.

I assume with the same hull it skis the same or is it better? Which engine and trans?

jkski
04-24-2008, 05:19 PM
Same hull and MCX motor, althugh this time I went with the Powerslot tranny which is hooked to a 3-blade prop rather than the 4 blade. In terms of skiing, it is the same, with the exception of the stronger pull provided by the different tranny and the fact that the MCX gained some HP when they went to the catalytic converters.
This one also has Stargazer, which provides a really nice pull, heated seats, heater, stereo, etc..
As far as the mini tower and bimini goes, I completely agree and if I hold onto this for more than 1 year, itll probably have that added.

Come ski it sometime...you'll love it!!!

May take you up on that someday! Right now I'm just trying to get mine down to the lake, put some new carpet on the lift bunks, and get going with the season. It's still a little early for the rest of the family as they don't like cold water very much, even in a wetsuit.

As you know, I have the MCX with the catalytic converters but I didn't realize that I gained any HP over the MCX in the X9. How much?

holy shi&!!!! That is a sweet set up you have there! For the love of humanity.....please don't put a set of monkey bars on that beautiful boat;) (you can do whatever you want since it is your boat:D )

Nice rig! Tri-Lakes are nice folks! Hope to see you around.

Do you have the MCX with CATS and ALSO the the Silentmaster Mufflers? or did you just go with the CATS .... just curious since I just ordered a 214 with CATS and the Mufflers on the MCX .... I hope I don't suffer any power loss.

Congrats again .... I'll post my 214 in May once I take delivery.

Are you sure? I thought CATS were standard on ALL MCX engines...

93Prostar190
04-24-2008, 05:59 PM
they are ..... but the Muffler is the part I am referring to ..... that has become an option, I think as a result of the baffles chaning in the rear of the boat.

So yes, the MCX does come with CATS, I agree, but you can choose to add the Silentmaster mufflers or not.

Chicago190
04-24-2008, 06:11 PM
All the MCX's have cats. The two options are baffled tips or silentmaster exhaust. People were claiming that the baffled tips were too loud. See this thread: http://www.tmcowners.com/teamtalk/showthread.php?t=21980&highlight=baffled

As far as the HP gain when you go from a non-cat engine to a cat engine, it is minimal, however I do not have the exact figures, I'm sure someone wil be along that does.
With regards to the HP gain/loss from having both silent master and cats, I really do not think you will notice a difference. Will there be one, possibly, but again minimal and unless you are realy looking for some difference, I doubt you'll notice it. I've skied them both ways and can't tell the difference except to say that the noise level is less behind the silent master. Personally, I like the roar of the boat without the tips, now the question is, will the people on the lake like it as their alarm clock every morning at 6am!!!

The people at Boat House Marine at TriLakes are great and I don't think you will find a group of more dedicated, knowledgeable people to deal with....can't say enough good things about them.
Where are you going to take your new boat to..maybe I wil see you on the water!

WOW, I just got wind of this thread here on the board. Since I saw the rig in person on the 26th I can say without a doubt it looks much better in person, you get the whole "bling" effect of the chrome that just doesn't come through in the picture. Sweet ride jk. It really looks nice on the water. I especially like the picture of you filling up the fuel tank. 8p 8p It's about time you get off your wallet!!!!

All jokes aside, nice boat. Just think, in 8 years from now you'll be just like me.....no boat payment!!!!!

I'd actually have to hold onto one long enough!!!!
Thanks for the compliments...the boat is on the lift now and man does it look good with the water reflecting off of it on a sunny day!
As for the trailer....can you say "Bubble Wrap"!!!

MSRP on my boat as equipped was almost $69k. Now, keep in mind that this is a "package" and that the pimped out trailer is part of the package along with the special carpet overlay, etc..
